Almaty. July 31. Silkroadnews - Volumes of export of grain to China will increase annually, said Deputy Chairman of JSC "NUH "Kazagro" Kairat Aituganov.
He recalled that the export of Kazakh grain to China is complicated by the need for transshipment at the rails due to the different widths of the way, as well as the requirement of the Chinese side to pack grain in bags.
According to the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance, wheat exports to China in January-June amounted to 159.4 thousand tons for a total amount of $42.7 million, which is 15 times more inn quantity and 12 times more in amount than in the same period last year.
