Kazakhstan sent to Tajikistan 18 cars with humanitarian aid

Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan sent to Tajikistan 18 cars with humanitarian aid, the press service of the Kazakhstani Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

“According to the decision by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on official humanitarian aid to population of the Republic of Tajikistan suffered from natural disasters in 2015, the Kazakhstani side sent 18 cars with humanitarian aid that started to arrive in the city of Dushanbe as of May 10, 2016,” stated the information released by the foreign ministry.

Wheat flour, pasta, canned meat and milk, dried vegetables, vegetable oil, butter and tea amounting to $873 thousand have been shipped to Tajikistan, the text says.

It is also reported that in 2015 in response to the request of the government of Tajikistan Kazakhstan rendered aid in the amount of $4.7 million or 9.5 % of the total humanitarian aid received by Tajikistan last year.
