Kazakhstan shall be ready for the aging of the population, according to the OECD

Astana. October 6. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan should be prepared for the long-term challenges associated with an aging of the population, according to Deputy Director of the Office for Financial and Enterprise Affairs Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Sangqu Kim.
"We must pay attention to the growing macro-economic, more inclusive growth, also apply to long-term challenges to the fact that the population is aging. This is mainly for the already established economies, but also it is very important for developing economies such as Kazakhstan", - quotes agency KazTAG S. Kim during a round table on Monday.
S. Kim believes that Kazakhstan has the political will to changes and reforms.
"This is the main ingredient that we need", - he said.
According to him, it is also important that Kazakhstan has successfully launched economic diversification, moving away from dependence on commodity exports.
