Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation with UNDP

Astana. October 31. Silkroadnews - Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation with UNDP, informs KazTAG.
"Today we are signing an important document by which Kazakhstan and UNDP will become partners. This will strengthen our collaboration and it will be a very important step in the history of Kazakhstan", - said Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov during the signing of the project document "Expert support - to create a national system of Kazakhstan official development assistance" in Astana on Friday.
Also Mr. Idrisov said that by the end of this year expected arrival of the Secretary General of the OECD.
In turn, the permanent representative of the UN Development Programme Stivet Tull said that Kazakhstan "is becoming a leader in regional and international affairs".
According to him, the recognition of Almaty as the UN Regional Centre is a logical and timely.
