Kazakhstan supports the establishment of the Central Asian investment fund for the implementation of water projects

Astana. June 9. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan supports the establishment of the Central Asian investment fund for the implementation of water projects and regional center of water security, reported the press service of the prime minister.
As noted, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev in Dushanbe took part in high-level conference "Water for Life".
"B. Sagintayev, speaking at the conference, noted that in Kazakhstan in the last ten years has been developing regulatory and legal framework for regulating water issues, launched a major project for the transition to a "green economy", performed a state program of water management, being taken measures to save the Aral Sea", - stated in the information released on Tuesday.
Kazakhstan initiated a number of proposals on a regional scale to improve the water situation in Central Asia.
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the conference also voiced Kazakhstan's initiative on creation of Central-Asian investment fund for the implementation of water projects and the Regional Centre for Water Security
Kazakhstan finds  it's important to create an open system of exchange of hydrological data, and therefore to sign a draft of five-sided agreement, which will allow for the rapid exchange of information and to take coordinated decisions on water quality.
Another initiative of Kazakhstan is to improve the efficiency of the Interstate Coordination Water Commission, the Basin of "Syrdarya" and "Amudarya".
