Astana. March 28. Silkroadnews – Kazakh Ministry of Defence has suspended testing on the territories rented by Russia in Kazakhstan until the reasons behind the crash are clear, as the Ministry’s Press Office reports.
As reported earlier today, a meteorological rocket crashed in West Kazakhstan Province (1 km away south of Shungay village) on the 27th of March.
Russian Ministry of Defence informed that it was the rocket’s engine failure that prevented the rocket successful landing. “No environmental damage was caused by the crash. The rocket’s pieces did not damage any constructions and did not claim any victims”, their message states.
The rocket was launched from “Kapustin Yar” polygon that belongs to Russia. The launch was permitted by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defence.
