Almaty. September 10. Silkroadnews - Team of kok-boru from Kazakhstan refused to participate in the World Games of Nomads, which are held in Kyrgyzstan, reports KyrTAG.
"The team of Kazakhstan was supposed to participate, but they did not come, refused. Yesterday, representatives of the Kazakh delegation also said that the team is about to arrive. And today was told that most likely they will not come. But in any case, yesterday was held a draw, so the involvement of Kazakh team has already ruled out", - reported in the federation of kok-boru on Wednesday.
Federation noted that the cause of the failure is unknown.
The tournament for the kok-boru started with 8 teams: 2 teams of Kyrgyzstan, the team from Mongolia, Altai Territory, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Kok-Boru - a popular horse game of the peoples of Central Asia. This symbiosis of races and games. Riders compete for a goat carcass - it is necessary not only to recover it, but also to keep, throw in the "cauldron" (gate) of the opposing team, or, according to other rules, to get to the carcass to a specified area.
Closing ceremony of the Games will be held on September 14 at the hippodrome in Cholponata.
