Kazakhstan to host CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force exercises this August

Astana. May 29. Silkroadnews – Kazakh Minister of Defence Serik Akhmetov met the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation) Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha. The CSTO Secretary General has arrived to Astana to take part in the working session of the High Eurasian Economic Council, as Kazakh MoD informs.
“What comes to the issue of strengthening of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force, Minister Akhmetov informed of the “Cooperation” CRRF exercises that Kazakhstan is to host this August”, the message states.
The parties also discussed current state of affairs as well as future prospects for military and political cooperation, handling modern threats and challenges and security provision as it falls under the CSTO jurisdiction.
