Kazakhstan to raise gas exports to China up to 3.5 billion cubic meters in 2018

Almaty. February 22. Silkroadnews - Gas companies operating in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan plan to increase gas exports to China up to 3.5 billion cubic meters in 2018, KazTAG reports.

“The gas booster station has been built in the district named after T.Ryskulov. The station allows exporting the surplus gas to China in the volume of 1.9 billion cubic meters this year and up to 3.5 billion cubic meters in 2018”, the statement of the regional akimat says.

A 55.5% of the settlements throughout the region are said to be provided with natural gas. A significant role here is played by the Zharkum gas field, which introduction raised the total volume of output by LLP “Amangeldy gas field” up to 352 million cubic meters of gas last year.
