“Khan-Atlas” Festival to be held in Tashkent

Tashkent. May 27. Silkroadnews – Traditional “khan-Atlas” Festival to be held in Tashkent’s Palace of Youth Creativity.
The Festival is to showcase items of modern and ethnic clothing from young fashion designers and students of Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, as Uzbekistan’s Academy of Arts informs.
Designers who showcase their items at the Festival had to use tradition Uzbek “Khan-Atlas” textile. “Khan Atlas” textile material is produced from dyed silk threats.
Special seminars and trainings are to be held for Uzbek students and their teachers prior to the festival. Those seminars and trainings are to be hosted by the experts from French Universite de Haute Alsace and la Lycee La Martiere Diderot in Lyon.
