Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be closed from December 30 to January 1

Almaty. December 27. Silkroadnews - The Kyrgyz-Chinese border will be closed from December 30 to January 1, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports with reference to Public Relations and Media Department of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday.
“At the initiative by the Chinese side and due to celebration of the New Year the checkpoints Torugart and Irkeshtam on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border will be temporarily closed from December 30, 2017 to January 1, 2018,” the report says.
The checkpoints will resume their operation on January 2, 2018.
