Almaty. February 15. Silkroadnews – The government of Kyrgyzstan should ask the EEU partners to postpone a process of adaptation, leader of the parliamentary faction “Onuguu-Progress” Bakyt Torobaev suggests, KyrTAG writes.

“Kazakhstan and Russia protect their markets, Kyrgyzstan must also defend one's interests, focus on exports to the EEU states. There should not be any other priorities”, B.Torobaev said at the International Forum “Integration processes within the EEU” on Wednesday.

According to him, joining the EEU turned to be unprepared, there are still 30 regulations left not implemented.
“In practice, the execution of decisions gets stuck. We could avoid many difficulties if implemented all the technical regulations when joined the WTO. There are no professionals left at the middle administrative level, the government consists of people who only carry the paper from one place to another. This also results in low performance. A lack of consistency makes the president and the prime minister to solve problems in the manual operation mode”, deputy added.

He also reminded about the technical regulations on package to come into force in August.

“Without its implementation the transit of goods across the border will not be possible. Technical regulations entered into force, yet no arrangements have been made for their implementation. We should not be surprised if an issue of withdrawal from the EEU is raised tomorrow. I do not want this scenario to happen. The prime minister and the government should admit they are responsible for the failure of economic integration within the EEU. The government should admit they have failed the integration process and ask the EEU partners to postpone the process of adaptation”, B. Torobaev added.
