Kyrgyz honey trading house opened in Urumqi

Almaty. August 26. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyz honey trading house was opened in Urumqi (China), KyrTAG writes.

«Recently Urumqi has hosted the ceremony of opening of Kyrgyz honey trading house on the initiative of one of the Chinese companies. Today this trading house operates successfully», Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkinbek Choduev said.

He noted that China is the largest exporter of Kyrgyz honey.

E. Choduev also touched on some issues arising because of antibiotics found in Kyrgyz honey.

«Recently we had a meeting with this Chinese company. They advised us to use products not generating antibiotics (...) So far our Republican center for diagnostics and examination cannot carry out the related tests as we do not have the equipment due. Russia allocates credit funds and in 2017 we will have required tools to check antibiotics presence in honey, meanwhile we request such tests in Kazakhstan», deputy minister said.
