Kyrgyz parliamentarians propose to open a list of terrorist organizations for publication

Almaty. April 5. Silkroadnews – Deputies of Jogorku Kenesh Kanibek Imanaliev, Almaz Akmatov, Dzhanybek Bakchiev and Emil Toktoshev have developed amendments to the law on “Counteracting Terrorism” proposing to introduce a single list of terrorist organizations for further publication through the media, KyrTAG writes.

“The draft law proposes to introduce a single list of organizations, the courts of the Kyrgyz Republic recognize as the terrorist organizations, to be then reported through the official government publications”, the draft law says.

In his turn, Aitmamat Nazarov proposed to publish not only the lists of organizations, but also the names of the persons involved in terrorist activities.

“To date there are 20 organizations that have been recognized as the terrorist organizations, by both the State Committee for National Security and the UN and international courts. Only the courts of Kyrgyzstan can recognize this or that organization as the terrorist ones”, Rustam Mamasadykov, deputy chairman of the State Committee for the Kyrgyz National Security, said answering the question of deputy Ekmat Baipakbayev.

The authors of the draft note, there are a lot of different kinds of organizations, cults and sects spread at present carrying the threat to bring the young people into radical groups.

The draft is aimed to prevent the impact of various kinds of radical and extremist groups on the younger generation.
Following the discussion, the deputies have submitted the document to the vote.
