Kyrgyz President instructed the government to reconsider the decision to raise electricity tariffs for the population

Almaty. May 29. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev met with Prime Minister Temir Sariyev, said KyrTAG.
During the meeting, T. Sariev informed the President about the tariff policy of the government in the energy sector, measures to ensure the sustainable, stable and reliable operation of the energy industry of the country, to cover the deficit of electricity and energy security.
In turn, the President recommended the government to reconsider its decision and, accordingly, to return to a discussion of the value of the new social-oriented tarriff. Special attention, according to A. Atambaev, should be given to the inhabitants of the highlands, where the winter is "harsher and longer".
The President also noted that the government should continue the policy of energy conservation.
