Kyrgyz security forces illegally detained Uzbek border guards

Almaty. March 24. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz security forces illegally detained Uzbek border guards, reported the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) with reference to the Committee on the State Border Guard Service of the National Security Service (NSS) of Uzbekistan.
"On March 19 a group of 15 soldiers from Kyrgyz border guards illegally detained two Uzbek soldiers in Uzbekistan. They were arrested at the request of the inhabitants of the village Shiresh, who complaint that Uzbek security forces prevented to smuggle material assets",- said the press service of the Committee.
According to the National Security Council, representatives of law enforcement bodies of Kyrgyzstan forcibly made to confess detained Uzbek troops in fact of violation at the state border. Later, after repeated negotiations, the Kyrgyz side gave the detainees to the Uzbek side, trying to hide the facts of illegal actions of their subordinates.
In this regard, the Uzbek security forces called their Kyrgyz counterparts to prevent such provocations in future, complicating the situation on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border, and not to yield to the requirements of border inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan engaged in illegal activities at the border.
