Kyrgyzstan considers introducing dress-code for high-profile governmental meetings

Bishkek. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyz MP Damira Niyazaliyeva proposes to introduce ethnic elements to clothing of participants of high-profile events and governmental meetings.
A subsequent draft law “On amendments to law of RK “On State Protocol of Republic of Kyrgyzstan” is posted on Parliament’s official web page.
This draft law is aimed at preservation of Kyrgyz culture and traditions.
“Items of clothing with Kyrgyz ethnic elements to them would serve as a clear sign that the state official represents the Republic of Kyrgyzstan”, the document notices.
The ethnic elements to be included in official dress-code, as well as other details of dress-code adoption is to be stipulated by the government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
