Kyrgyzstan exports only 9% of the milk produced

Almaty. December 15. Silkroadnews – This year Kyrgyzstan produced about one and a half thousand tonnes of milk, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic Janybek Kerimaliev said, KyrTAG writes.

“This year Kyrgyzstan produced 1 thousand 426 tonnes of milk, which is 43% higher compared to the previous year volume production”, J. Kerimaliev noted.

According to him, out of the total quantity of milk produced 9% is exported to neighboring countries.

“In case the project of the diary sector is realized, the country’s milk productivity will raise”, he added.

It is worth pointing out that deputies consider the ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Development Association, according to which IDA is ready to support the country’s dairy sector allocating more than $500 thousand of the grant funds.
