Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan is interested in organization of the joint Kyrgyz-Iranian companies to produce halal products, minister of transport and communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Zamirbek Aydarov says, KyrTAG reports.

“To develop the export opportunities, and taking into account Iran’s best practices of halal industry in food production, Kyrgyzstan is interested to implement the halal industry in the country. This can be realized in creation of joint ventures for the production of halal products, training of relevant experts and so on”, said Z. Aydarov at the closing of the eleventh session of the Kyrgyz-Iranian intergovernmental commission held in Bishkek.

He noted there are many companies operating in Kyrgyzstan at the moment that produce food products under brands “halal” and “Muslim”.

“However, the absence of clearly defined work priorities for halal-production and lack of due control deprive consumers of sense of confidence in purchasing the products in line with their expectations,” the minister emphasized.
