Kyrgyzstan ranks the first in the growth of wages among the CIS countries this year

Almaty. August 17. Silkroadnews – In January-May of this year the most significant growth in real wages among the CIS countries was observed in Kyrgyzstan, such data have been published on the website of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, KazTAG reports.

According to the data published, the average monthly nominal wage in Kyrgyzstan for 5 months of 2016 increased by 12% on a year-on-year basis amounting to 13 649 som. At the same time, the real wages increased by 11.2%.

Armenia's average nominal monthly wage for 5 months of this year increased by 3.5% compared to the same period of 2015 having amounted to 183 958 dram. Real wages grew by 5.2%.

Ukraine showed a 25.3% growth in the average monthly salary on a year-on-year basis for five months of 2016 up to 4746 hryvna. Real wages increased by 3.8%.

Within all the other countries of the CIS the citizens' real wages declined this year.

In particular, for five months of this year the average monthly salary in Azerbaijan increased by 7.6% compared to the same period of 2015 amounting to 489.5 manat, yet the real wages fell by 2.5 percentage points.

For the same period the average monthly salary in Belarus increased by 8.3% on a year-on-year basis amounting to 6 917 565 ruble, but real wages fell by 3.6 percentage points.

The average monthly salary in Moldova for 5 months of the year grew by 8.6% compared to the same period of 2015 amounting to 4769 leu. Real wages decreased by 1.1 percentage points.

The average monthly salary in Russia for 5 months increased by 7.5% compared to the same period of 2015 having made 35 157 Russian ruble. Real wages decreased by 0.8 percentage points.

The average monthly salary in Tajikistan for 5 months of the current year increased by 3.9% compared to the same period of 2015 reaching 910.4 somoni, with real wages decreased by 1.7 percentage points.

As for Kazakhstan, the average monthly nominal wage for six months of this year here (the data for Kazakhstan are available for the first quarter or the first half of the year only) grew by 13.9% on a year-on-year basis having amounted to 137 909 tenge, the real wages decreased by 1.8 percentage points.
