Kyrgyzstan’s ex-president was awarded “Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic” title – the highest state award
Almaty. November 27. Silkroadnews - Almazbek Atambayev was awarded “Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic” title – the highest state award, website of the head of the state says, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed a decree saying Atambaev Almazbek was awarded the “Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic” with a special sign “Ak Shumkar”, the highest state award, for outstanding merits to the people of the republic, outstanding contribution to strengthening the state independence of Kyrgyzstan, unity of people, peace and harmony in the country, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as for the political will and courage he demonstrated.
To remind, during the inauguration, Sooronbay Jeenbekov said his first decree as the president of Kyrgyzstan would be the decree granting Atambayev the title of “Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
