Almaty. September 6. Silkroadnews – In first half of 2016 the volume of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan fell 60%, KyrTAG reports.

«From January to June 2016 the volume of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan decreased 60%, at the same time the exports volume with Russia grew 26.4%», Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Eldar Abakirov said at the press conference on Tuesday.

He also noted the imports from China for the first half a year grew 61% compared to 2015.

«There has been an increase in imports of fabrics used in clothing industry, with this, though, we observe a decline in clothes exports to the EEU countries (the Eurasian Economic Union – Silkroadnews). This suggests a poor accounting of dress trade. As for a drop in exports to Kazakhstan, in some part the som devaluation stays behind it as was carried out within this time period (January-June)», said E. Abakirov.
