Kyrgyzstan's GDP decreased by 1.2% and amounted to 217 billion som over the last seven months

Almaty. August 17. Silkroadnews – In January-July of this year Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP), according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 217.3 billion som, which shows a 1.2% decline on a year-on-year basis, KyrTAG writes.

According to the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, such a decline in GDP has mainly been affected by manufacturing industry, transport activities and storage of goods.

Compared to January-July of the last year, the GDP share of manufacturing industries decreased by 1.8% (at the expense of industry, whose share decreased by 1.8 percent) and amounted to 34.5%, while a share of services sector grew by 2.2% and amounted to 53.3%.

The GDP deflator (a composite index of the prices through all the sectors of the economy) regarding the previous year's January-July period made 104%.
