Kyrgyzstan's gold reserves account for only 8.6% of the total international reserves

Almaty. February 16. Silkroadnews - Gold reserves of Kyrgyzstan make up only 8.6% of the total international reserves, transfers KyrTAG.
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, the volume of international reserves of the National Bank on February 6, 2015 amounted to $1 billion 794.6 million, and decreased from the beginning of 2015 by 162.9 million.
International reserves of the Republic consist of assets in gold, special drawing rights and the portfolio of foreign currencies. Last includes American, Australian, Canadian and Singapore dollars, euro, Swiss franc, British pound, Japanese yen, the Russian ruble, Chinese yuan, Norwegian and Swedish krona.
Kyrgyzstan's gold reserves account for only 8.6% of the total volume of international reserves, Special Drawing Rights - 9.5%, foreign exchange portfolio - 81.9%.
The National Bank stressed that in 2015, it will continue to work on the management of international reserves based on the principles of maintaining liquidity and safety of reserve assets. Reserves will be managed according to the situation on the world markets and in accordance with the investment policy adopted by the regulator.
The National Bank to replenish international reserves will continue to buy gold on the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan for the national currency.
As noted, the international reserves of Kyrgyzstan are saved in foreign banks. Gold reserve of the republic is about three tons, the regulator buys small amounts of Kyrgyz gold from the  Kumtor deposit.
