Kyrgyzstan’s mutual trade volume with EEU countries has been estimated at $874.1 million over five months

Almaty. July 11. Silkroadnews – In January-May 2017 Kyrgyzstan’s mutual trade with the EEU countries amounted to $874.1 million, KyrTAG reports quoting the first deputy chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Orosbayev saying.
“Volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EEU countries made $874.1 million in January-May 2017, which is a 11.4% growth compared to the same period of 2016. The export deliveries grew 29.3%, while import revenues increased by 6.3%. Russia and Kazakhstan ranking the major trade partners accounting for 51.8% and 48.2% of the republic’s respectively”, A. Orosbayev said speaking at the press conference on Tuesday.
As he notes, for export of goods to Russia growth is observed in clothing and accessories (2.8 times), dried fruit (2.7 times), onions (5.9 times) and carrots (1.9 times), with this though supply of bean dried vegetables decreased (2.8 times).
As for deliveries from Russia, dairy products imports increased 1.9 times, timber products - 5.1 times, pharmaceutical products - 2 times, vegetable oils - by 16.1%. Import of plastic products decreased 2 times, fruits - 1.6 times, products made of ferrous metals - by 30.1%.
Volumes of Kyrgyzstan’s import to Kazakhstan grew by 37.1% for dairy products and 28.2% for vegetables. Kazakhstan, on the other hand, began exporting to Kyrgyzstan more confectionery products (2.7 times), rice (3.4 times) and coal (10%).
