"The epidemiological situation in the country for the first 9 months of 2014 is characterized by the growth of infectious diseases",- said the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
According to the ministry, for the period were more than 186 thousand cases of infectious and parasitic diseases, including acute respiratory viral infections.
Compared with the corresponding period last year was a significant reduction in the incidence of Salmonella infection (2.4-fold), viral hepatitis (1.7 times), brucellosis (1.3 times) and syphilis (19.4%). In the structure of infectious and parasitic diseases, is still dominated acute respiratory viral infections (about 63%).
The epidemiological situation in January-September this year was characterized by a significant increase in the incidence of bacterial meningitis (2.9 times), influenza (2 times), mumps (1.6 times) and lice (1.5 times).
