Kyrgyzstan to strengthen supervisory responsibilities of the parliament in the new development strategy throughout 2021

Almaty. February 17. Silkroadnews – According to KyrTAG, a strengthening of the supervisory responsibilities of the parliament is planned for the new development strategy throughout 2021 in Kyrgyzstan.

“The priority for this development strategy is to improve the representative, legislative, control, analytical and international activities of the Jogorku Kenesh. One of the objectives of the strategy is strengthening the supervisory responsibilities of the parliament, increasing the role of committees, factions, their secretariats, as well as of the administrative structure of the Jogorku Kenesh”, vice speaker Altynay Omurbekova said at the conference on Friday.

She also noted that the development strategy contains a number of key projects, including “e-parliament”, “online meeting”, “Center for Advanced Development”, “A committee – driver of change”, “efficiency of the secretariat”, “Jogorku Kenesh – top leader of the Civil service”, “new infrastructure of the Jogorku kenesh”.

Nine working groups have been established as a part of the implementation of strategy and development of the plan.
