Kyrgyzstan will buy from Uzbekistan 40 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers

Almaty. February 10. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan is going to provide Kyrgyzstan with 40 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, KyrTAG quoted the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan Turdunazir Bekboyev saying.
“Temir Sariyev wrote to the Government of Uzbekistan for the supply of 40 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. The representatives of the state agency, department of the chemicalization under the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and “UzChemProm” signed an agreement according to which the delivery shall begin as of February 11, 2016,” - T. Bekboyev said at the press conference on Wednesday.
He explained, 60% of the fertilizers supplied are the     nitrogenous fertilizers to be shipped at the price of 16.5 som, 40% are carbamide, which costs 19 som.
“40 thousand tons fully covers the needs of the country’s agricultural sector, as market also provides the other fertilizers supplied by the private entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan, Russia and other regions,” - the Minister said.
He also reported about the beginning of the preparations for the sowing. Governmental decree on the preparation for the spring sowing campaign was signed on January 15. The same day was also signed a resolution on the agricultural producers financing, meaning this year “Aiyl Bank” and “RSK Bank” will start to lend farmers earlier, said T. Bekboyev.
“Compared to previous years this year loans and leases will be cheaper. Last year the interest rate made 30%, this year it reduced to 9-10%. These are good conditions for the agricultural producers,” - the official added.
Also, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement for the supply of 43 thousand tons of petroleum products. Fuel will be sold with the price of 3 som cheaper to compare with 2015. POL products shall also be cheaper by 8-10 som compared to 2013-2014.
