Kyrgyzstan will prohibit providing loans in a foreign currency

Almaty. February 17. Silkroadnews - On February 28, 2016, ban on the commercial banks and other financial institution’ financing or lending of mortgage and consumer loans in foreign currency comes into effect in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG reports.
“On February 10, 2016, the National Bank’s Board approved the amendments directed to prohibit the commercial banks and other financial institutions to provide the individuals with mortgage and consumer loans in foreign currency. Regulation shall enter into force on February 28, 2016,” - explained in the National Bank.
    Taking into account the commercial banks’ proposals the changes and amendments to the National Bank regulations have been approved regarding the financial statements of borrowers, order of repayment of loans, second restructuring of credit, monthly monitoring of credit in the amount of up to 250 thousand som and list of the commercial bank customer costs when getting credited.
