Kyrgyzstan will raise salaries for workers working in high mountain regions

Almaty. January 27. Silkroadnews –  Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the law “On amendments to the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic”, KyrTAG writes.

The law was adopted to protect the rights of citizens working on a combined job in the highlands, where the regional coefficients to salaries are established.

Thus, according to the amendments, persons working on a combined job in areas where the regional coefficients are set to salary along with supplements to the official salary for work in the high mountain regions, salary is to be paid with account of such supplements and coefficients; the guarantees and compensations provided for persons who combine work and study, as well as for those working in the highlands and remote and inaccessible areas are only available for employees at the principle place of employment, with the exception of regional coefficients to the salary and supplements to the official salary for work experience in the high mountain regions.

The law enters into force in ten days after the date of publication.
