Large-scale anti-corruption investigation shall be conducted in China this year

Almaty. February 24. Silkroadnews - In 2016 China will conduct the new large-scale anti-corruption audits and investigations that will also touch on the higher state and party bodies. “China Daily” newspaper refers to the corresponding statement by the head of the Central Committee for Discipline Inspection and member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wang Qishan.
“The head of the Central Committee for Discipline Inspection Wang Qishan said this year his department will continue to work for the discipline inspection with focus on the control bodies of the (Communist) Party, state institutions and local governments,” - the newspaper writes.
According to information on the party body’s website in 2016 a new wave of inspections will touch on 32 party and government bodies, including the specific ministries and departments of the State Council of China (the Government), as well as the CPC Central Committee. The Committee will also conduct another inspection campaign in the provinces of Liaoning, Anhui, Shandong and Hunan.
The list of agencies to be attended by the party auditors includes the CPC Central Committee Propaganda Department, the State Committee for Development and Reform, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture, General Customs Administration, State Administration of Tourism and other government and party authorities.
The campaign against the corruption intensified in China when the “fifth generation” of leaders headed by the President of China, Secretary General of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping came to power in 2012-2013.
