Latvian president offers its ports for transit of Uzbek goods

Tashkent. May 23. Silkroadnews – Latvian President Andris Berzins offered Latvian ports and opportunities of special economic zones for transit of Uzbek goods. This has happened during President’s official visit to Uzbekistan.
“As logistical cooperation is concerned, Latvia is ready to offer the benefits of our free ports and of special economic zones for transit of Uzbek goods”, he stated after his meeting with senior Uzbek officials.
As President Berzins says, trade volume between Latvia and Uzbekistan increased by 46% in 2013.
“We highly appreciate achievement of Uzbekistan in economic development. It demonstrates stable growth in the times of global recession”, the Latvian leader noticed.
