Lukashenko has signed law on ratification of the agreement on EEU customs code

Almaty. November 17. Silkroadnews - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed the law on ratification of the agreement on the customs code of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The law was published on the country’s national legal Internet portal on Friday, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reported.
Earlier, on October 25, the document was adopted by the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and on October 27 it was approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly.
As expected, the Customs Code of the EEU states should come into force on January 1, 2018. Earlier the Eurasian Economic Commission’s officials noted the EEU Customs Code will become one of the key regulatory documents of the Union to raise the level of unification and coherence between the Eurasian “five” states in the customs regulation. The draft code of the EEU is based on switching to electronic technologies, improvement of the conditions for foreign economic activity, in particular, boosting exports.
The EEU is an international integration economic association created on the basis of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space and operating since January 1, 2015. Now the EEU member states are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
