“Lukoil” put into operation first line of Kandym gas processing complex in Uzbekistan
Almaty. November 6. Silkroadnews - Lukoil has put in operation the first line of the Kandym gas processing complex designed to process more than 4 billion cubic meters of gas a year, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.
Work has also been completed on construction of a field camp, pre-plant area, road system, external power supply and water supply facilities, export gas gathering and pipeline system.
With this, the construction of the second line of the gas processing complex is under process scheduled for completion in July 2018. Currently there are more than 5,500 workers, engineers and over 1,000 units of construction equipment are involved in the construction of the complex, the report says.
The complex is designed to process hydrogen sulfide-containing natural gas with a capacity of 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the Kandym group of fields located in the Bukhara region to produce purified natural gas in volume of 7.9 billion cubic meters, 134.4 thousand tonnes of stable gas condensate, and also 212.9 thousand tonnes of solid and granulated sulfur. The project creates 2125 new jobs.
