Major changes in oil prices will not happen in 2015 - IMF
Almaty. June 4. Silkroadnews - During 2015 there will be no major changes in oil prices, says the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Azerbaijan Raja Almarzogi, transmits Trend.
Thus, according to R.Almarzogi, by 2019 the price of "black gold" on the world market will change in the range of $75-79. According to him, this year, a downward trend in prices on the world market for natural gas, metals and food products will continue.
The head of the IMF mission also commented on the processes occurring in the region's economy. In his view, the decline in oil prices pose a risk to economic growth.
In particular, unfolding in recent years, the process of decline in the Russian economy has a significant impact on regional export-import operations. Monetary policy of the United States also continues to exert its influence.
As noted R.Almarzogi necessary to control costs in the countries of the region to pay more attention to the private sector and boost the sector. In order to achieve the medium-term economic growth, the head of the mission recommended to tighten monetary policy, exchange rate flexibility, financial stability, structural reform and improve the services sector.
