Meeting of the SCO council of heads of government to be held in Astana in 2017

Almaty. February 17. Silkroadnews – Four-days meeting of the Council of National Coordinators (CNC) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states was carried out in the organizations headquarter in Beijing.

“The national coordinators have discussed the issues related to 2017 major events: meeting of the heads of the states and council of the ministers of foreign affairs, meeting of secretaries of the SCO security council to be held in Astana and a number of other important events”, the statement says on the SCO site.

It is also noted that meeting of council of heads of government (prime ministers) of the SCO member states is scheduled to be held under the chairmanship of Russia at the end of 2017.

To remind, the Council of National Coordinators coordinates the SCO activities, interaction between the relevant ministries and agencies of the organization member states.
