Member countries CASA-1000 signed an agreement to supply 1 thousand MW of electricity to Pakistan

Almaty. December 5. Silkroadnews - Countries participating in the project CASA-1000 - Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan signed a new agreement on the supply of one thousand MW of electricity to Pakistan, says Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"The signing took place yesterday in Ankara", - says the publication.
Under this agreement, Pakistan buys every kilowatt of electricity from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at the price of $9.35.
Electricity export to Pakistan is implemented within CASA-1000 project, the implementation of which is scheduled for completion in 2018. According to the project 70% of the specified amount of electricity supply from Tajikistan, the remaining 30% - Kyrgyzstan. According to the draft, Afghanistan supplied 300 MW.
As part of the CASA-1000 project the World Bank (WB) has allocated $45 million to Tajikistan. Total World Bank for the implementation of this project will provide $526.5 million.
Thus, Pakistan ($120 million), Afghanistan ($316.5 million) and Tajikistan ($45 million) will receive as a loan. Only Kyrgyzstan will receive funds from the World Bank on a grant basis.
Recall, the state budget of Tajikistan in 2015 for the implementation of the Tajik section of the CASA-1000 provides direct 13 million Somoni ($2 million 500 thousand).
