Military maneuvers of special forces units of Kazakhstan and Turkey will be held in 2018

Almaty. January 25. Silkroadnews – Military maneuvers of special forces units of Kazakhstan and Turkey have been postponed to 2018, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Talgat Mukhtarov said, KazTAG wrote.

“Due to the latest events occurred in Turkey such maneuvers have been postponed to 2018”, the agency quoted T. Mukhtarov saying.

With this the deputy minister also noted that Kazakhstan’s cooperation with Turkey in both military and military-technical fields develops “quite actively”.

“Every year we carry out the “Altyn Uki” contests for sniper and intelligence units, there are also “Kablan Zholy” exercises. We have a lot of joint ventures with the Turkish side, for example, the one dealing with the production of optical devices. We also acquired a lot of weapons. Nearly 50 our officers currently study in military academies of Turkey as well as at the ground, air defense and naval forces”, T. Mukhtarov added.
