More than 1.6 thousand rail supplies have been carried out on rail freight routes China-Europe

Almaty. June 7. Silkroadnews – More than 1600 railroad trains have been moved on the China-Europe railway route since 2011 till present, deputy director general of China Railway Container Transport Corporation Zhong Cheng said, Xinhua news agency reports.

He noted, the trade relations between the countries located along the “belt and road” way have been developing rapidly. Cargo is shipped from 9 Chinese cities and arrive at 11 points in 7 European countries.

Deputy head of the Department of international economics under China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tang Jian said that for 4 years since 2011 500 freight trains have passed on the China-Europe routes. Then dynamic accelerated rapidly: next 500 rails supplies have been carried out in 7 months, followed by another fifty supplies performed within 5 months only.

The traffic volumes growth will promote economic development and trade relations between the countries located along the “belt and road” way, Tan Jian said.
