More than 10 thousand Afghan refugees resettled in Central Asia

Almaty. November 21. Silkroadnews - more than 10 thousand Afghan refugees migrated to Central Asia, informs KazTAG citing Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daulet Argandykov.
According to him, this trend will continue.
He stressed the need for a balanced immigration regulation that ensures respect for the rights of both migrants and the countries in which they arrive.
In turn, Deputy Interior Minister Yerlan Turgumbaev said that currentlyin Kazakhstan live  just 597 refugees.
Almaty process on refugee protection and international migration - a regional consultative process on refugee protection and international migration in Central Asia, proposed by the Office of the High Commissioner, the International Organization for Migration and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan was elected by States Parties first Chairman of the process.
