More than 15 million tonnes of natural gas have been delivered to China through the pipeline Central Asia-China

Almaty. August 16. Silkroadnews – More than 15 million tonnes of natural gas have been delivered to China through the pipeline Central Asia-China, the newspaper “People’s Daily” reported.

“As of July 31, 2016, for the first seven months of this year the gas pipeline Central Asia-China delivered to China 15 million 14 thousand tonnes of natural gas, which is a 23.3% growth compared to the same period of 2015”, the publication says.

The gas pipeline Central Asia-China begins on the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, runs through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and crosses the Chinese border at the Khorgos crossing point. Its total length is 1830 km.

Currently A, B and C operation lines of the pipeline put in operation. The total capacity of the gas pipeline reaches 55 billion cubic meters per year.

A total of 108 million 81 thousand tonnes of natural gas were transported to China along the lines A, B and C within a period from the beginning of the pipeline operation on December 14, 2009, to the end of July 2016.
