More than 600 thousand tonnes of coal have been produced in Tajikistan for 7 months of this year
Almaty. August 10. Silkroadnews – More than 600 thousand tonnes of coal have been produced in Tajikistan for 7 months of this year, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Wednesday.
“For the first seven months of this year Tajikistan produced more than 600 thousand tonnes of coal, which is 210 tons growth on a year-on-year basis”, officials of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Industry and New Technologies report.
Currently the country’s daily output stands at 8 thousand tonnes of coal.
Consumers’ demand for 7 months amounted to nearly 400 thousand tonnes of coal, another 200 thousand tonnes are located in warehouses of enterprises and at the points of sale.
Note, the major fields and coal mining enterprises of Tajikistan are “Fon-Yagnob”, “Ziddi”, “Nazar Aylok”, “Shurob” and “Sayod”.
The country’s coal production growth is associated with the transition of large industrial enterprises from natural gas to coal.
New enterprises using coal in operation were put into operation. The population of the country is also the coal’s largest consumers.
Because of lack of electricity in the autumn-winter period rural population of Tajikistan uses coal for heating and other domestic needs.
