NATO and Kazakhstan discuss partnership for 2014-2015

Astana. April 25. Silkroadnews – Representatives of Kazakh Ministry of Defence met with their NATO counterparts, as Kazakh MoD’s Press Office reports.
“The main topic on the working agenda was implementation of partnership goals for 2014 and 2015”, the message states.
The meeting took place within the framework of NATO’s “Planning and Review Process” Programme. The parties discussed the issues related to Kazakh Peace-keeping forces, its training and participation in exercises as well as in the UN Peace-keeping operations.
The 2014-2015 cycle of the NATO program includes training and equipping peace-keeping forces in accordance to the UN and NATO requirements, defence planning analysis, and instructing officers on cybersecurity issues.
