Nearly 100 kg of Afghan drugs seized in Uzbekistan

Tashkent. April 21. Silkroadnews – Uzbek Customs officers seized nearly 100 kg of drugs from the citizens of Afghanistan at the Uzbek-Afghan border this weekend, as State Customs Committee (SCC) informs.
“Members of anti-contraband department held 2 drug dealers at the moment of transaction. The drug dealers had 11 kg of opium”, SCC clarified this Monday.
The SCC spokesperson also said customs officers revealed 2 more drug smuggling attempts within the last few says. Another 90 kg of opium and hashish were prevented from smuggling.
