Nearly 200 people injured in a 6.6-magnituda earthquake in China

Almaty. August 9. Silkroadnews – 13 people were killed and 175 injured in a 6.6-magnitude earthquake in China, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
“Death toll from a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck a remote area in southwest China's Sichuan Province Tuesday night has risen to 13”, the information office of the provincial government said.
“As of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, the earthquake had also left 175 others injured”, report reads, “the quake jolted Jiuzhaigou County, a popular tourist destination, at 9:19 p.m. Tuesday at a depth of 20 km”.  
A separate quake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck the remote part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (Northwest China) at 07:27 a.m. local time on Wednesday, the Chinese earthquake administration reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at 44.27 degrees North latitude and 82.89 degrees East longitude. The hypocenter was at a depth of 11 km, the agency said.
Kazakhstan also reported on an earthquake in relative proximity to the border with China.
According to the US Geological Survey, a 6.3-magnitude earthquake was registered 107 km southeast of the Dostyk village in Kazakhstan at 23:27 GMT on Tuesday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at 44.323 degrees North latitude and 82.837 degrees East longitude at a depth of 25.87 km, the publication reads.
