Almaty. September 18. Silkroadnews - Nearly 6 million people have been affected by the typhoon "Kalmedzhi" in southern China, reports Xinhua.
"The typhoon "Kalmedzhi" hit 5.97 million residents of the province of Guangdong, Hainan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China" - says the publication.
As noted, the 15th in this year typhoon "Kalmedzhi" started on September 16 reached the coast of the village Wenchang Ventyan prov. Hainan and Guangdong Syuyven County. Flooded 668 thousand hectares of farmland, destroyed 1600 buildings, 548 sections of roads were damaged. Due to bad weather were temporarily shut down 28 airports and ports.
