Almaty. September 18. Silkroadnews - Nearly 6 million people have been affected by the typhoon "Kalmedzhi" in southern China, reports Xinhua.
"The typhoon "Kalmedzhi" hit 5.97 million residents of the province of Guangdong, Hainan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China" - says the publication.
As noted, the 15th in this year typhoon "Kalmedzhi" started on September 16 reached the coast of the village Wenchang Ventyan prov. Hainan and Guangdong Syuyven County. From 08.00 on Monday to 14.00 on Wednesday  the above-mentioned regions of southern China collapsed with torrential rains, which led to a sharp increase in water levels in local rivers. Because of the typhoon, three people were killed and one was missing.
According to the information, on September 17,  649 townships and 68 towns , cities and districts were at the mercy of water. Flooded 668 thousand hectares of farmland, destroyed 1600 buildings, 548 sections of roads were damaged. Due to bad weather were temporarily shut down 28 airports and ports. Suspended the movement of trains on the 12 rails. In some cities cut electricity and water as a result of rampant disaster.
