Negotiators in Vienna agreed on the formation of a transitional government in Syria

Almaty. November 16. Silkroadnews - Negotiators of Syria in Vienna agreed on a timetable according to which within six months will be formed the country's transitional government, reported BBC Russian Service.
Under the plan, the talks between the Syrian authorities and the opposition which should begin in January. It is expected that the sides will discuss the principles of a transitional government. Elections in the country planned to take place after a year and a half.
In the passed in Vienna on November 14 talks on the settlement of the situation in Syria attended representatives of Russia, the US, the UN, France, Britain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran and the European Union, the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
On many issues, the parties have not reached an agreement. Among other, participants disagreed on the future of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
As reported Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has instructed staff members to develop mechanisms to monitor compliance with the cease-fire in Syria.
A new meeting to resolve the conflict is to be held a month later.
