New campaign: Kazakhstan buys firearms from its people

Astana, April 16. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan launches a campaign to buy illicitly owned firearms, ammunition and explosives from its population, as Kazakh MIA informs.
321.2 trillion tenge (USD 1.8 mln) was allocated for this purposes in 2014 budget. Moreover, individuals that voluntarily bring their illicitly earned firearms, ammunition and explosives are not to be legally liable.
They also to be reimbursed. Reimbursement will vary between USD 100 and USD 1000 per item depending on its condition. The firearms, ammunition are explosives are to be submitted to any territorial body of Kazakh MIA.
