Almaty. November 11. Silkroadnews – Sooronbai Jeenbekov has been appointed Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG informs.

“President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev (...) signed a decree appointing Jeenbekov Sooronbay Sharipovich Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic having released him from the previously assigned duties”, press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on Friday.

The head of the state has also signed a decree on the appointment of members of the government.

On Wednesday Jogorku Kenesh approved the composition, structure and “Trust and Unity” program of the government.

The new composition of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic does not differ much from the previous one. E.g. Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov, as well as almost all the vice-premiers and key ministers, retained their posts.
Cholpon Sultanbekova, a deputy from “Kyrgyzstan” party, replaced Deputy Prime Minister Gulmira Kudaiberdieva, who became the Minister of Education and Science. Ulan Israilov, the former head of the anticorruption service of the State Committee of National Security, replaced Kashkar Dzhunushaliev at the post of the head of Ministry of Internal Affairs.

To remind, the former composition of the Kyrgyz government resigned in late October due to the parliamentary majority coalition rupture. According to Kyrgyzstan’s laws the ruling coalition should form the composition and structure of the cabinet. In case of the coalition rupture the government automatically retires.
