Non-Aligned Movement must continue to resist growing unilateralism: Iranian Foreign Ministry

Beijing. April 6. Silkroadnews - The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) must continue to be at the forefront to facilitate multilateral decision-making, resisting the growing unilateralism of actions, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif believes, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
“This is of great importance if NAM wishes to pursue its aim of creating a just and equitable world order and global democratic governance,” the minister said.
He condemned Israel’s actions on “deliberate massacre of unarmed Palestinian peaceful protesters, including women and children, in Gaza”.
In his view, the Non-Aligned Movement needs to take collective action and in the UN to condemn these atrocities as well as policies and measures that embolden Zionists, to call for the establishment of an international inquiry bringing perpetrators to justice, to demand full restoration of the rights of Palestinians, in particular the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital, and to demand an immediate end to the siege on Gaza.
